Ms. Kim McLeod is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia. Ms. McLeod currently practices full-time with the Christian based agency 'Oasis Clinical Counseling Services LLC.' For the past several years Ms. McLeod has worked closely with adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar disorder, childhood, and adulthood trauma. In addition, to counseling children (5 to 17 years old) and their families diagnosed with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, conduct disorder, mood dysregulation and oppositional defiant behaviors. Ms. McLeod teaches and counsels individuals and couples to implement effective/ healthy Boundaries, improve communication skills, coping skills, overcome Self-defeating thoughts, strategies for daily time management, and build self-confidence. Ms. McLeod prefers and greatly enjoys utilizing the following therapy interventions of client-centered, reality therapy, solution-focused therapy, Rational-emotive therapy, Motivational interviewing, and the Holistic health approach. Ms. McLeod desires to help people receive their mental, emotional, spiritual healing and deliverance through Therapy & Prayer. As well as helping people to recognize their God-ordained purpose and to be used greatly by Him. Ms. McLeod's Education background: *Norfolk State University (Norfolk, VA), Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology (July 2010). *South University (Virginia Beach, VA), Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling (Clinical Mental Health) (December 2013). *Purpose Institute (Norfolk, VA), Foundational Diploma in Ministerial Studies (June 2017) Ms. Kim McLeod is an active member of Rock Church UPCI in Harrisonburg, VA serving and leading the Youth and Hyphen/Singles ministries.
