Karen Anderson

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (Supervisor: Linda Carlos LMFT)

I work compassionately from an Apostolic perspective with families, couples, adults, adolescents, parents, and groups. I have worked in education and mentoring and offer an array of support areas for clientele including (but not limited to) marriage, parenting, blended families, grief and loss, life changes, divorce, crisis, decision-making, generalized anxiety, and depression. I have been married since 1990 and raised three children, all of whom are working in the Kingdom of God. In addition to my private practice, I am co-founder of Preserving the Christian Family (preservingthechristianfamily.com) alongside my husband, Dr. Dean Anderson. This is a resource for Apostolic pastors and their churches. We work together to preserve the Christian family by providing education, coaching, and counseling. One of my goals is to influence the narrative surrounding Apostolic ministers and leaders engaging in counseling in their own lives. I have a combination of life experience and a lengthy background in ministry, as well as my formal education including a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of the Cumberlands and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University.
