Tommy Delbridge resides in Greeneville, Tennessee with his wife of 20 years and their two eighteen year old daughters. Tommy is a licensed clinical social Worker (LCSW) with the states of North Carolina and Tennessee. He currently serves as the Director of Foster Care for Holston United Methodist Home for Children. He is a licensed minister, for over ten years, with the United Pentecostal Church International, and he serves his local congregation as the student pastor. He has served both the church and communities in which he has lived in many different roles.
Tommy has years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. For the past 20 years he has worked with children, teenagers, and families in many different walks of life and sociological status. He and his family answered the call of God July 2007 to work at a children’s home where he and his wife spent several years as house parents for both girls and boys. Tommy has most recently served conducting therapeutic work specifically with adolescents, children and their families. He spent his internship working with an adoption agency. This led to his passion for working with both birth and adoptive families and adopting two children into his own family. Tommy now works in the East Tennessee area and fell in love with the beautiful mountains in that region. His passion for children and families has risen from his therapist/case management work in the foster care system.
He is a first generation student and started his education by receiving a GED. He also went on to receive his Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Mississippi and his Masters of Social Work from the University of Alabama. Then, he obtained his clinical license in 2017. Tommy holds certifications in substance abuse screening, trauma focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy and trauma approached therapy. He specializes in children and families who are going through crisis situations. He also supervises counselors and therapist working towards licensure. In his free time he enjoys hiking, reading, and is an avid football fan.
