Olivia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Grand Rapids, MI. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Spring Arbor University. Olivia is the owner of Huffman Counseling Services LLC where she provides mental health therapy. She has experience working with individuals on issues such as anxiety, trauma, addiction, loss, anger management, spiritual concerns, and more.
Her faith in Jesus Christ allows her to have hope for each client knowing that is what He wants for each of us. Olivia has learned the effectiveness of evidence-based practices and seen that change is possible even in some of the toughest situations. She commits to being fully present with each of her clients as they work on their desired futures together.
Olivia utilizes several therapy techniques but much of her practice utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings and to free them from unhelpful patterns of behavior.
Olivia and her husband have two children who they enjoy taking on family hikes. Both Olivia and her husband are Hyphen Directors at their local UPCI church Greater Life Pentecostal under Pastor Craig Kleiman, where she also assists with music ministry.
Olivia was raised in a pastoral home. Her father pastored a Spanish Apostolic church in Grand Rapids, MI up until his passing in 2016. It was during her teenage years where she began gaining a passion to walk alongside people as they heal and grow.
